The United States is expected to win the most gold medals in Paris with -850 odds.

PARIS - With the opening ceremony just over five months out (July 26), the focus on Olympic betting odds is coming back into focus. While World Championships and Olympic qualifiers are in full effect, only one betting odds has hit Olympic betting sites so far.

The odds for the most Olympic gold medals in 2024 have the United States as a heavy favorite. With -850 odds, one would need to risk $8.5 for every dollar won. In other words, a bet of $85 on the US to win the most gold medals would pay out $95 ($85 bet + $10 winnings).

This expensive bet makes sense, as the United States being dominant in athletics and swimming creates an excellent upper hand.

The US has led the Athletics gold medal count every year. In fact, you have to go back to 1980, when the United States led a boycott of the Summer Olympic Games in Moscow to find the last time the US didn't finish atop the gold medal table for track and field.

As for swimming, it's a similar story. The 1988 Olympics in South Korea was the last time the US didn't finish with the most gold medals in swimming. But, 2020 was a challenge for the US, as it was the first time on their run that they didn't have at least five more gold medals than the next country. With a strong swimming focus from Australia, Canada, Great Britain, and China, the swimming events may hold the US back.

Still, the US has been dominant over the last few Olympics, gaining the most gold medals every year since 1992 when Unified Team - a joint group of former Soviet republics - beat out the US by eight.

With 329 gold medals up for grabs, the Olympic calendar is full of action. With the addition of break dancing, sport climbing, skateboarding, and surfing, the IOC hopes to grab the attention of a younger demographic.

What Will The Paris Olympic Gold Medals Look Like?

One fun fact about the gold medals for Paris 2024 is their design. The medal comes from iron girders on the Eiffel Tower, which were replaced during renovations and refurbishments. France's mint, the Monnaie de Paris, is responsible for the creation of the medals which feature Nike, the Greek goddess of victory on the back. She is seen running forward with the Eiffel Tower on one side and the Acropolis on the other.

Similarly, the medals for Paralympic athletes have "Paris 2024" stamped in braille in a shot from under the Eiffel Tower.

Odds for the men’s 81kg Judo division at the Tokyo Olympics have Matthias Casse of Belgium as the favorite at +110 betting odds.
The Women’s 63kg Judo odds are also available, with Clarisse Agbegnenou of France as the heavy -200 favorite.

TOKYO - The Tokyo Olympics are now in full swing with two of the most anticipated finals are set to happen later this week in the men’s 81kg division and the women’s 63kg division.

Odds are now available for multiple Olympic fighting events like Judo and Taekwondo, with members of Team Canada listed as the betting favorites.
Christa Deguchi (+150) and Jessica Klimkait (+225) star in the 57kg Women’s Lightweight Judo draw, while Skyler Park (+700) looks for glory in the Women’s 57kg Taekwondo division.

TOKYO - Odds for the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games are beginning to appear across many sports betting platforms. Fans of martial arts at the Olympics will be pleased to see the appearance of odds for Judo and Taekwondo ahead of this year’s Games.
